Now you take 5 and the negative 8.76 and subtract then to get -3.76. Your equation will now be 24=-3.76+2.19n. In order to isolate the variable, add 3.76 from both sides so your equation is 2.19n=6.16. Divide both sides by 2.19 and the answer is $2.81 as the change.
