Basic mix-up with algebra word problem. Can someone put this in words in a way that will stick with me?

When you divided population by eggs, you calculated person per egg, when you do it the correct way eggs over population... Think of it as eggs PER person. The keyword is PER, ie; at the store you buy goods (for example apples) per lb, so $5.00 per lb. Money is on top, lb is on the bottom (if you look at it as a ratio).
