Are my crickets breeding or not?

The eggs are slightly oblong, like tiny grains of rice. The females use their egg depositor to lay them about 1/3 inch below the surface of the dirt. If you are using a clear container for the eggs you may see some eggs through the side but you may not. They are not normally visible on the surface of the laying substrate. The eggs take around 2 weeks to hatch if they are kept slightly warm, about 80 - 85F.
