What happened to the california sea lion exhibit at the detroit zoo?

back when i was a kid (late 80's early 90's) there was an exhibit at the detroit zoo of california sea lions. It was a pretty big pool and there were a lot of sea lions. now at the detroit zoo the only seals/sea lions are the ones in the polar bear exhibit, which is a completely different kind. what happened to the california sea lion exhibit and where did the sea lions go?
