Walls are too thin and its too noisy! How can I fix the problem.?

Im going to do it right, so no mentioning of egg cartons please!! Is there a foam I spray in the wall via drilling holes in the wall and then doing drywall patches, or just put up thicker sheetrock or what exactly needs to be done?
